What is bike fitting?
What is bike fitting?
The bike fitting process is used to gain comfort, for injury prevention & rehab, and to increase power and efficiency. Bike fitting also addresses specific issues such as knee pain and saddle soreness. Where there is no specific issue, bike fitting improves handling, ride-feel, and bicycle predictability.
The foundation of our holistic approach is a full anthropometric assessment (body measurements) with our bike fitting specialist. From this foundation we build a bespoke bike fitting session to fit your needs that identifies and addresses your concerns and cycling goals.
For the majority of our clients, cycling fits into a busy lifestyle. Our approach to bike fitting integrates with the physical demands of your day-to-day life (e.g. lengthy periods of sitting or heavy lifting), and other sports or exercise you participate in. We use evidence-based techniques in order to produce an appropriate and sustainable setup that cares for your body over time.
Bike fitting achieves comfort and finds performance gains; what’s not to love?
“I felt comfortable from the beginning talking through various issues. Ian’s knowledge and skill made the whole experience well worth the time and money - it was enjoyable too!”
